The Scribe Valdemir Mota de Menezes supports the idea of a family-oriented society in which women should take classes to become a mother and wife.
In the second half of the nineteenth century saw women's struggle towards the conquest of their rights. The creation of normal schools in 1846 was intended only to boys' education. Only since 1876 in São Paulo, was created a section that met the female audience with activities
for basic home care and care for children and families.
